National All Breeds Show
Willsbro claim Premier Breeder and Exhibitor banners
At the recent National All Breeds Show held at Stoneleigh, Willsbro once again had a great show, culminating with them winning both the Premier Breeder and Exhibitor banners in the Junior show.
Featuring a great line up of entirely home bred heifers, nearly all of which will be sold in the Willsbro Sale 2010, Willsbro Sho Rachel RC (Shottle X Talent) was widely admired and an extremely popular choice when she was tapped out as Reserve Champion Calf. This extremely interesting Red Carrier Shottle daughter is from a VG 2yr old Talent dam then backed by 9 generations of Excellent dams- She sells in April and is a great prospect for the summer shows!
Willsbro’s Junior show resulted in 10 animals finishing in the top 10, which brought an enormous sense of pride, as they all carried the Willsbro prefix, and the majority sell in the sale.

In the milking classes, the Junior 3 year old class was one of the day’s most competitive line-ups, Willsbro had 3 animals finish in the top 5, including the winning animal Peak Sam Frantoosh VG-88 2yr, who remains unbeaten in her class throughout 2009 and 2010. Having calved in May last year, she is the reigning Supreme Heifer Champion from the European Dairy Farming Event, and also the All-Britain Sr Heifer in Milk 2009.
Despite being ready to go dry, Ridgefield Shottle Ghost VG-88 2yr , the #5 GTPI animal in Europe stood 4th in this extremely strong class, with another Willsbro animal Riverdane Goldwyn Rapture VG-88 2yr standing 5th.
Peak Sam Frantoosh VG-88 2yr went on to be awarded Reserve Junior Champion, to Holmland Shottle Flo the eventual Supreme Champion of the National All Breeds Show.
