Willsbro had a great day when the classifier called in and made 25 VG 2 year olds!
Amongst them were a host of world renowned names, heifers which are already Internationally in demand as bull dams, including Riverdane Rose VG-87 2yr, The World’s only RC Shottle dtr from Lavender Ruby Redrose EX-96.
Willsbro Toystory Butterfly VG-88 2yr (88MS)
Making a big impression with the classifier was Willsbro Toystory Butterfly VG-88 2yr (88 MS) pictured above, she is a daughter of US phenomena Hardwood O Butterfly EX, who herself has numerous sons in AI.
Classifying 88 points as a 2 year old makes Butterfly the joint highest classified daughter of Toystory in the UK, and incredibly in demand, her full brother is already an impressive looking individual on test with Ascol in Spain, and Butterfly’s first sons are already heading for International AI.
Riverdane Goldwyn Rapture VG-88 2yr (88MS)
Creating a big impression and bred from 10 generations of Excellent dams Riverdane Goldwyn Rapture VG 88 (88 MS) Pictured above 1st lactation proved to be a firm favourite on the day. She is sired by Goldwyn from the Pinehurst Rapture family.
After much anticipation the world’s only Red carrier dtr by Shottle from the legendary Lavender Ruby Redrose EX96 has recently calved in and classified. Riverdane Rose VG-87 2yr (87 MS) is already exceeding expectations following her purchase at the Global Glamour Sale, there’s great interest in her progeny and her first bulls are already sold to Semex, Masterrind and Top Q.
Stardale Leader Roxy EX-95 6E epitomises everything we strive to achieve at Willsbro, longevity, production, World-class pedigree and now we are seeing her benefits as a brood cow. Both her first milking daughters at Willsbro classified VG as 2 year olds- Willsbro Shottle Roxy 2 VG87 2yr (88 MS) and Willsbro Shottle Roxy VG-86 2yr, backed by 6 generations of Excellent which average 93 points, and goes back to the Queen of the Breed- Glenridge Citation Roxy EX-97 these Roxy’s look set to continue this great family here at Willsbro.
In all a total of 25 heifers scored VG as 2 year olds, and whilst only a handful of cows were classified, some great results were achieved as well.
Some of the most notable successes included Weeton Oralie Allen EX-93 2E (Laurie Shiek family) despite just being 3 weeks fresh she looked in tremendous form, scoring EX-95 for Dairy Strength.
Baileys Snow White Mattia EX-91 is a daughter by Lee from one of the few cows in the UK to have achieved the maximum classification at every opportunity- Applevue Rudy Mattia EX-97 4E.
Shanael Champion Melody VG-89 3yr, a maternal sister to the dam of the former Royal show champion Gelpro Melody EX-95 3E, scored 89 points fresh in her 2nd lactation.
Smiddiehill Shottle Lausin VG-88 3yr, from a Champion dam, and also in her 2nd lactation, she scored 88 across the board.
Overside BG Amanda VG-88, the high indexing Goldwyn daughter (#27 UK PLI rankings) with 3 generations of EX-94 point dams, looks in great form and is attracting international AI interest from Europe. She proved her consistency and scored 88 points in every trait.
